New Executive Director Appointed to Lead the TAC Foundation

Tuesday, February 22, 2022

The TAC Foundation has named Dr. Jean-François Gysel as its new Executive Director.

Taking the helm this month, Dr. Gysel brings a wealth of experience as a leader in the private sector and with organizations like TAC, AQTr, Engineers without Borders (Quebec) and the World Road Association. He is passionate about the Foundation’s causes and is committed to its mission. In accepting the position, Dr. Gysel said, “I am excited to work with the Foundation Board of Directors and the volunteers who contribute so much to this great organization. I look forward to the opportunity to build on the successful scholarship program and internship service, grow the Foundation’s donor base and raise its profile in the transportation sector.”

Dr. Gysel fills the post vacated by Ray Mantha when he retired at the end of 2021. TAC Foundation President Gerry Chaput commended Mr. Mantha’s leadership, observing, “Ray has contributed tremendous time and energy in guiding the TAC Foundation since 2018. He helped advance our programs and sustain the charity through the challenges of the global pandemic.”

The Foundation Board was gratified by the interest in the position expressed by several outstanding candidates and thanks them for offering their services to the charity. The Foundation’s work is made possible by individuals like them and others who support its programs.
