The Chief Engineers Panel is a national forum for information exchange, coordination and collaboration across the full breadth of the focus areas identified in TAC’s Strategic Plan. It identifies emerging and priority issues, encourages collaboration on initiatives that span multiple councils, and approves national technical guidelines for publication by TAC.
The Panel meets twice a year, at TAC’s Spring and Fall Technical Meetings. Meetings are open to employees of TAC member organizations, individual TAC members, and others at the discretion of the Chair. For more information on the Panel, see its Terms of Reference or contact Geoff Noxon.
Voting membership on the Panel is restricted to Chief Engineers appointed by each TAC member federal, provincial and territorial government, and by ten TAC member municipal governments. Other non-voting members include the chair of each TAC council, task force and national committee reporting to the Board of Directors, and appointees of other selected organizations.
