Active Transportation Integrated Committee
This committee supports the Mobility Council. It is a centre of expertise within TAC and a national forum for sharing information and addressing challenges related to active transportation, with a focus on walking and cycling.
Its goals include:
- Raising awareness of the importance of active transportation within TAC’s councils, committees and member organizations
- Sharing information and promoting collaboration on active transportation initiatives undertaken by TAC councils and committees
- Identifying emerging issues in active transportation and technical activities to address them
Getting Involved
Committee membership is open to interested employees of TAC member organizations and individual members of TAC. As an integrated committee, many members are also active on other TAC councils and committees and share information between groups.
The Committee meets during TAC’s Spring and Fall Technical Meetings and at other times as needed. Employees of TAC member organizations and individual TAC members may attend; others may attend if invited by the Chair.
