Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV) Integrated Committee
This committee supports the Technology Council. It is a centre of expertise within TAC and a national forum for sharing information and addressing challenges related to connected vehicles (CVs) and automated vehicles (AVs), with a focus on planning, design, operations, safety, cybersecurity and environmental sustainability in urban and rural communities.
Its goals include:
- Monitoring the development, testing and implementation of CV and AV technologies, and understanding possible implications for Canada’s transportation sector
- Identifying opportunities and challenges related to CVs and AVs in Canada, and raising awareness of them among TAC’s councils, committees and member organizations
- Sharing information and promoting collaboration with TAC councils and committees
Getting Involved
Committee membership is open to interested employees of TAC member organizations and individual members of TAC. As an integrated committee, many members are also active on other TAC councils and committees and share information between groups.
The Committee meets during TAC’s Spring and Fall Technical Meetings and at other times as needed. Employees of TAC member organizations and individual TAC members may attend; others may attend if invited by the Chair.
