TAC Sponsor Spotlight Article

EXP, a global engineering, architecture, design and consulting firm, continues to expand its reach across Canada to deliver integrated and coordinated transportation solutions to diversified clients. “Canada is known for delivering major projects under a number of different procurement models, and our team has worked on and understands each of these models providing value to our clients through our experience and understanding,” said EXP’s Executive Vice President Major Projects Reece Bailey. EXP has gathered transportation experts from Canada’s provinces who specialize in all forms of transportation with public and private sector clients and understands the need to deliver under models such as Progressive Design Build in a new way. This includes the need to embrace and implement Lean Project Delivery methods and Push Planning to optimize efficiency. EXP has implemented these unique processes on our current projects.

For more than 116 years, EXP has provided solutions for infrastructure and transportation, supporting our clients in the delivery of safe, reliable and efficient solutions to meet Canada’s complex and growing needs. “As the transportation industry continues to innovate with more technically advanced systems, we are building momentum with our growing services to meet those demands,” Vice President, Earth & Environment and Transportation, Western Canada Iain Ward. With various offerings including rail and transit systems, redesigning cities with complete streets and a focus on Active Transportation and integrated urban planning, producing environmentally friendly approaches to enable the safe movement of pedestrians, cyclists, transit users and drivers to major transportation programs and alternative delivery projects, we continue to enable our clients to see their projects to the end-state, where safety, mobility and efficiency are at the forefront.

The projects range from facilitating more rapid, reliable and efficient public transportation on Montreal’s east end with the Société de Transport de Montréal (STM) Montreal Metro Blue Line Extension and working with Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to supply geotechnical and structural services to the largest transit expansion in Toronto’s history and one of the largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects in North America with the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail project. It continues with the pavement design and additional services for the Regina Bypass, various bridges including the Golden Ears Bridge and Jacques Cartier Bridge Inspection and Rehabilitation Program and many other unique projects to connect people and move goods and resources. We look forward to continuing to support the industry's forward mobility.
