Seminar on Access Points to the Public Transportation Network

L’Association québécoise des transports du Québec (AQTr) is hosting a French seminar on improving the customer experience by understanding access points to the public transportation network on October 28 in Montreal, QC.

This half-day seminar is geared towards urban planners, engineers, transportation network operators and transportation companies.  

The event aims to:

  • present initiatives on the development of associated services, design, transportation mode integration and real time information systems to improve access points and wait time of transportation users;
  • highlight factors influencing urban integration, accessibility, security and life expectancy of access points;
  • observe the dynamics of user trips generated by interconnectivity of transportation network access points, and
  • provide examples of commercial collaborations to revitalize access points.

Presentations on topics such as design principles of access points, renovation and development of train stations, revitalization strategy of access points, study results on Montreal security and comfort of bus stops, installation of dynamic bus signage and the future of urban transportation will be offered. The seminar will be moderated by Paul Lewis, Professor and Dean, Université de Montréal.
