  • Marta Juhasz has been appointed Director of Surface Engineering, Technical Standards Branch, Alberta Transportation.
  • Joseph Anton Bucik passed away at his home in Burlington, Ontario. Mr. Bucik was a valued member and volunteered on national and international committees through the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) and the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO). As Head of the Design Standards Section, Highway Standards Branch, Ministry of Transportation, Ontario, he led the province’s responsibilities for drainage, geometric and roaside safety standards for Ontario’s highways. 
  • Larry Halayko has been appointed Executive Director of Construction and Maintenance, Engineering and Operations Division, Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation.
  • Jim Gough has been appointed Manager of Transportation Planning in the Markham office of MMM Group Limited.
  • Scott Hanna has retired from Hatch as Director of the Australia-Asia Region, Environmental Services Group.
  • Kerry Buckley has accepted a new position at Parks Canada as Chief of Highway Engineering Services.
  • Vince Aurilio is the new Executive Director of The Ontario Hot Mix Producers Association.
  • Helen Platis has joined Stantec Consulting Ltd. as Vice-President, Client Development, and will be based out of Toronto.
  • Amec Foster Wheeler has appointed Hannah Sesay as Global Head, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE), as well as Senior Vice-President of HSSE for the Americas.
  • Paul Nimigon, currently MMM Group’s Vice-President, Rail Transportation, has been elected President of the Canadian Association of Railway Suppliers.
