Change within the TAC staff is coming soon, as Geoff Noxon leaves the position of Director, Technical Programs, effective May 30.
Since joining the staff in July 2018, Geoff has been instrumental in several transformative projects. He developed and implemented a new structure for our volunteer network, helping initiate a boost in volunteer participation. He expanded the learning program by introducing a diverse range of free webinars and adding high-quality training courses delivered on a professional learning management system. He also led the expansion of TAC’s awards program and spearheaded initiatives such as TAC’s first online symposium and careers open house, the Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV) Task Force, and the Academic Roundtable. Geoff has had a positive impact on TAC, and we are grateful for his contributions.

Geoff plans to return to his consulting practice, and we look forward to his continued involvement in TAC as a member.
Following Geoff’s departure, Craig Stackpole will take on the role of Acting Director, Technical Programs. Craig brings experience and a solid understanding of TAC’s councils, committees, projects, and activities. His background within the organization will ensure a smooth transition and continued success in TAC’s technical programs.
Executive Director Sarah Wells summed up the staff change by saying,
“Please join me in thanking Geoff and congratulating Craig. New opportunities lie ahead for them both, and the future is bright.”
