Arun Thangaraj, formerly Associate Deputy Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, was appointed Deputy Minister of Transport Canada, effective February 20, 2023.

Darren Burmey, P.Eng., FEC, Bridge Planning & Operations Engineer, retired from the City of Winnipeg in February 2023. Darren played a vital role in TAC’s Bridge Hydraulics Update Project, contributing his expertise and knowledge in the field of bridge engineering.

Greg Breen has accepted the role of Director of Engineering & Infrastructure Services with the City of Kenora, effective February 6, 2023. After 32 years with the City of Kenora, Marco Vogrig, Municipal Engineer and Acting Director of Engineering and Infrastructure will retire at the end of September. Read the news release.

Congratulations to Ed Miska on his new role as director of engineering in British Columbia for AECOM.

After many years at Arcadis IBI Group, Scott Stewart is embarking on a new chapter in his career. Scott will continue to provide urban planning and design services through Scott Stewart & Associates.

After a 35-year career at the City of Ottawa, Chris Brinkmann retired on June 27, 2023.

After 35+ years, Gord Cebryk is retiring from the City of Edmonton.
