Under the general direction of the Manager of Roads & Transportation provides administration and expertise for the successful delivery of various road safety initiatives, including traffic data collection programs, traffic and collision data analysis, and recommends changes to improve programs and services that enhance the safety of all road users. This position is responsible for the City’s School Crossing Guard program along with the coordination of traffic calming projects through their design, public engagement, and implementation phases as well as the coordination of Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) initiatives. The Road Safety Technologist investigates and responds to road safety inquires with a focus on quality customer service and continuous improvement.

Remuneration Range: $38.20 – $47.74 per hour, working a 37.5 hour work week ($74,490 – $93,093 per annum) plus a comprehensive benefit package.
