Human Resources and Professional Development Committee
This committee supports the Workforce Development Council. It is a centre of expertise within TAC and a national forum for sharing information and addressing challenges related to continuing education, mentoring, career advancement, succession planning, engagement and retention, and addressing skill gaps.Its goals include:
- Enhancing knowledge management practices in organizations
- Improving mentoring and career advancement opportunities for young professionals
- Building awareness of and engagement in TAC by young professionals
- Developing strategies for forecasting workforce needs, addressing skill gaps, and succession planning
- Sharing best practices for attracting top talent in a competitive market
- Exploring innovative approaches to employee engagement and retention
- Addressing generational differences and evolving workplace expectations
- Monitoring trends in labor availability, mobility, and compensation
- Advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across TAC member organizations
Getting Involved
Committee membership is open to interested employees of TAC member organizations and individual members of TAC.
The Committee meets during TAC’s Spring and Fall Technical Meetings and at other times as needed. Employees of TAC member organizations and individual TAC members may attend; others may attend if invited by the Chair.
