Next-Generation Transportation Integrated Committee
This committee supports the Technology Council. It is a centre of expertise within TAC and a national forum for sharing information and addressing challenges related to emerging transportation technologies, with a focus on the current state of the technologies, potential use cases, and the benefits and challenges for TAC member organizations.
Its goals include:
- Monitoring the development, testing and implementation of emerging technologies such as connected and automated vehicles, micro-utility devices and drones, etc.
- Identifying opportunities and challenges related to the current state of the emerging technologies
- Exploring potential use-cases, benefits and challenges for TAC member organizations
Getting Involved
Committee membership is open to interested employees of TAC member organizations and individual members of TAC. As an integrated committee, many members are also active on other TAC councils and committees and share information between groups.
The Committee meets during TAC’s Spring and Fall Technical Meetings and at other times as needed. Employees of TAC member organizations and individual TAC members may attend; others may attend if invited by the Chair.
