Why attend?
- It’s free and only for students! Students enrolled in a Canadian college or university in any discipline, including civil, geotechnical, electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as planning, information technology, environmental science, geomatics and construction, are encouraged to attend! Use your university/college email address to register
- Learn about dozens of Canadian employers in the private and public sectors. A directory of participating employers and the schedule of their presentations will be available in January
- Attend as many of the employer sessions as you wish to hear about their career paths, hiring programs, tips for applying, and more
At the 2025 event:
- 31 employers participated from the private sector (45%), provincial/territorial governments (32%) and municipalities (22%)
- Attendees included students in graduate and undergraduate programs in civil and environmental engineering, urban and regional planning, electrical engineering, geography, architectural and engineering technology, computer engineering, construction engineering, water sciences, and more
- 85% of students rated the overall value of the employer presentations “excellent” or “good”; 82% of students said they’d attend a
similar event in the future

Employer Directory: Careers in Transportation–Online Open House for Students
This two-day event in January 2025 was open to students enrolled in a college or university in any discipline, including civil, geotechnical, electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as planning, information technology, environmental science, geomatics and construction. Thirty-one Canadian employers in the private and public sectors gave overviews of their organizations and their permanent, co-op, summer and internship opportunities.
