Scholarships

In 2024, the TAC Foundation is pleased to offer students the opportunity to apply for scholarships valuing between $2500 and $6000. The scholarships are intended to help support their post-secondary education in transportation-related studies.

The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant’s specific transportation goals, academic record and transportation-related activities or job skills.

Our top applicants will be invited to share information about their employment interests with our participating donor organizations through the Employment Connections component of our program.

Scholarship Eligibility

All applicants:

  • Must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
  • Must be enrolled at a post-secondary institution (university or college) in an academic program related to, and hope to pursue a career in, the planning, design, construction, operations, maintenance and program management of road and highway infrastructure and urban transportation. This includes, but isn't limited to, civil and transportation engineering. 
  • May only be awarded one (1) TAC Foundation scholarship at each stage of their education (community college, university undergraduate, graduate).
  • May apply for and receive scholarships from other sources.

College/CEGEP student and university undergraduate applicants:

  • Must be enrolled in at least two semesters of full-time studies from September 2024 through August 2025, and have completed at least 50% of their current degree by September 2024
  • Note: Co-op semesters administered through post secondary institutions may be used towards this requirement

University graduate student applicants:

  • Must be admissible to or enrolled in a full-time transportation-related graduate (masters or doctorate) program in a transportation-related discipline. 
  • Must complete at least two semesters of full-time studies from September 2024 through August 2025.

All applicants agree, by submission of their application, to publication of personal data (such as name, educational institution, amount of award, focus of research and other related information) in TAC or TAC Foundation publications, including but not limited to TAC News, TAC's website, as well as announcements during TAC and Foundation events.
