AECOM appoints Eduards Miska as director of engineering in British Columbia. Ed was formerly with the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure where he held various positions culminating in his appointment as Acting Assistant Deputy Minister. Read the Press Release.

On July 27, Pablo Rodriguez was sworn in as the new federal Minister of Transport. Omar Alghabra, the previous Minister, resigned from Cabinet after announcing he would not run in the next election. Learn more about the Honourable Pablo Rodriguez.

More recently, Vance Badawey was named as Parliamentary Secretary to the federal Minister of Transport. Learn more.

Jennifer Graham Harkness, Assistant Deputy Minister and Chief Engineer, Transportation Infrastructure Management Division, retired from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. She has begun a new opportunity as the Chief Engineer and Executive Director, Engineering and Construction with the City of Toronto

Ashley Curtis has been promoted to Deputy General Manager at the City of Toronto. View Ashley’s profile on NACTO.

In August AECOM appointed Mark Southwell as chief executive of its Transportation global business line. Read the Press Release.

Brian Matheson has been appointed Deputy Minister, PEI Transportation and Infrastructure. He replaces Bob Creed, who retired in April. Paul Godfrey was Acting DM and now resumes his previous role with the department.

We are deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Martin Lee-Gosselin in December 2022, a remarkable individual who made significant contributions to the field of transportation. Martin was a valued member of TAC's former Urban Transportation Council, a co-author of TAC's Changing Practices in Data Collection on the Movement of People (2014), and an author or co-author of numerous TAC conference papers. His dedication and expertise enriched our community, and he will be dearly missed.
