Environmental Issues Committee

Overview

This committee supports the Environment & Climate Change Council. It is a centre of expertise within TAC and a national forum for information exchange and problem solving related to environmental management during the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of transportation infrastructure. Its broad goals include:

• Gathering information on environmental issues and initiatives related to transportation planning, infrastructure and operations
• Maintaining a list of priority, emerging and evolving issues
• Identifying and implementing actions to resolve issues
• Providing a forum for TAC member organizations to seek advice from each other

The Committee meets in person twice a year, and by teleconference as needed. Meetings are open to all employees of TAC member organizations, individual TAC members, and others at the discretion of the Chair. All TAC member organizations can appoint one or more members on this Committee. The current members of the Executive are:
