Councils and Committees

General Information

Guide to TAC Councils and Committees

TAC’s volunteer councils and committees identify emerging issues of national importance, shape guidelines and best practices, create and share knowledge, and organize technical sessions at TAC’s conference.

More than 800 volunteers participate on our councils and committees, and ensure the excellence of TAC’s work. Being a TAC volunteer is both a benefit of membership and a rewarding way to give back to Canada’s transportation sector. In return for their active participation, volunteers gain technical knowledge while they build their professional networks and leadership skills.

Councils and committees are open to all employees of TAC member organizations. Our Guide to TAC Councils and Committees describes TAC’s volunteer structure, the role and operation of different groups, and how to get involved. Contact us for more information, or to ask about joining or observing a TAC council or committee.
