Canada will host the PIARC XVI World Winter Service and Road Resilience Congress in Calgary, Alberta in February 2022. The XVI Congress theme, Adapting to a Changing World, will be structured around two areas: Winter Service and Resilience.
The Congress Call for Papers is requesting submissions on 15 selected topics related to these themes and is open until November 30, 2020. Authors are invited to submit an abstract using the online system accessible from the Congress online submission website.
PIARC Prizes are awarded to top papers from the World Winter Service and Road Resilience Congress which result from submissions to the Call for Papers. These prizes promote professional excellence in research, innovation and applications that demonstrate success in all areas of roads and road transport.
The Canadian National Committee of PIARC also awards prizes through a National Level Competition which runs in parallel with the PIARC Call for Papers. Thus, authors from Canada have the opportunity to be awarded for their submission at both the national and international levels. To qualify for a national prize, the first step is to submit an abstract by November 30, 2020 through the official PIARC Call for Papers process. The prize categories for this competition will be determined and announced following the closure of the Call for Papers process.
