Transportation Manager

Job Location: Brossard, Quebec

• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate transportation operations.
• Establish transportation service rates and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Prepare performance and operational reports for senior management.
• Coordinate shipping documentation and oversee scheduling, dispatching, and shipment tracking.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and assign staff involved in shipping, receiving, warehousing, distribution, and inventory control.
• Negotiate service agreements and preferential rates with carriers, warehouse operators, and insurance providers.
• Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including order processing, carrier coordination, shipment setup, pickup scheduling, dispatch, and tracking.
• Develop, manage, and control departmental budgets.
• Oversee transportation and warehousing activities, including route planning, , dispatch operations, and workforce coordination.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
• Monitor departmental performance and recommend operational improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels.
• Develop and implement procedures for transportation, storage, and distribution activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Management, Logistics, or Transportation is considered an asset.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience in transportation and warehousing operations.
• Proven experience supervising staff within a specific transportation mode (road, rail, air, or marine).
• Experience in the fashion or women’s apparel warehousing sector is considered an asset.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Language Requirements
