LTPP Manual for Collecting and Processing Longitudinal Profile, Macrotexture, and Transverse Profile Data

This manual describes operational procedures for collecting longitudinal profile, macrotexture, and transverse profile data for the Long-Term Pavement Performance program using a High-Speed Survey Vehicle. This manual also contains procedures for measuring the longitudinal and transverse profiles of the pavement using a Dipstick® and the longitudinal profile of the pavement using a rod and level. Procedures for calibrating equipment, performing calibration checks on the equipment, data collection, recordkeeping, and maintaining equipment for each of these devices are described in this manual. In addition, this manual describes procedures for processing longitudinal profile, macrotexture, and transverse profile data.
