Adapting to a Changing World | Virtual | February 7-11, 2022

Join PIARC (World Road Association), Transport Canada, along with the City of Calgary, the 2022 host city, for the virtual XVI World Winter Service and Road Resilience Congress.

Connect with industry decision-makers, technical experts, administrators, academics, equipment operators, manufacturers, and engineers and share knowledge and best practices in winter service and road resilience. The aim of the Congress is to increase world-wide expertise in these areas.

Adapting to a Changing World is the theme of the Congress, which also means adapting the Calgary Congress to a virtual format due to the health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Congress program is being planned to accommodate the multiple time zones of the participants attending from around the world.

There are many benefits to attending a virtual Congress:

  • Easy access from anywhere
  • Lower registration fee
  • No transportation or hotel expenses
  • Flexible schedule
  • Discussion forums available ‘on demand’

Congress Official Languages

The Congress is being offered in three official languages—English, French, and Spanish. There will be simultaneous interpretation for plenary, technical and foresight sessions.

Virtual Platform

There will be a customized platform for the virtual XVI World Winter Service and Road Resilience Congress that integrates:

  • the three official languages of the Congress;
  • networking and social experiences such as chats, meetings, video calls, texts;
  • an information booth that is ‘open’ with live support;
  • and an exhibition area which mimics a live hall – booths and pavilions are customizable in size and shape!

Registration Fees

The early bird price is $600 CAD for PIARC members and $700 for non-members. Registration opens later this month. Click here for details.
