TAC Foundation 2016 Scholarships Available

The Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2016 Scholarship Program until Monday, February 29.

The program supports and encourages bright, young college and university (undergraduate and graduate) students pursuing studies and a career in transportation, in particular the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and program management of transportation infrastructure, including urban transit.

Full details and application forms for the 2016 TAC Foundation Scholarship Program are available online. All application forms and accompanying documents must be received by 4:00 pm EST, February 29, 2016.

The TAC Foundation Scholarship Chair enlists dozens of volunteers to evaluate and score all qualifying applications. The highest ranking applicants in the community college, undergraduate and graduate categories are named as finalists in June; recipients are announced in July.

In 2015, the TAC Foundation Scholarship Program provided 36 scholarships with a total value of $154,000. Since its inception, a total of 400 scholarships worth more than $1,641,500 have been awarded.
