Registration is open for the Transportation of Association of Canada’s (TAC) 2014 Conference & Exhibition, September 28-October 1, in Montreal, Quebec!

TAC’s new, easy online registration system offers delegates a variety of registration options to experience the conference’s technical, social, and professional networking events over three and a half days.  Delegates can also choose from a slate of innovative technical tours providing behind-the-scenes views of Montreal’s transportation infrastructure.

Register now as early bird registration for both delegates and their companions ends June 17. The deadline to register in advance of the conference is September 19.

More than 70 technical sessions, panel discussions and workshops will be held throughout the conference.  Consult the preliminary conference program to help you plan your agenda.

Don’t forget to make your travel arrangements to attend the conference. All six conference hotels are within walking distance of the Palais des congrès, Montreal’s prime event venue, where all sessions, meetings and events are being held. Conference hotel rates are only available until August 24. Discounted airfares, ground transportation and car rentals are also available with select carriers.

Centennial Special Events

Delegates, TAC members and industry stakeholders will enjoy special events celebrating the Association’s 100th anniversary, including:

  • The Welcome Reception/Alumni Event on Sunday will offer the opportunity to celebrate long-time members and partners of the Association, and visit the TAC Exhibition and the Transportation Showcase.
  • A carnival-themed Montreal Centennial Event on Monday night will feature a delicious sampling of Montreal’s world-famous food and entertainment, including performers from Cirque Éloize, mentalist Gary Kurtz and a Montreal-inspired musical review.
  • The Transportation Showcase will be a museum-style exhibit themed on the Trans-Canada Highway.  ‘Exits’ along the highway will feature video, images and artifacts from cities and provinces across the country.  ‘Rest areas’ will highlight topics like road safety, bridges and tunnels, sustainable transportation, and more.
  • A 100th anniversary video will premiere at the Opening Plenary on Monday, highlighting TAC’s evolution and role in Canadian transportation.
