  • The Honourable J. Alan McIsaac has been appointed Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal for Prince Edward Island.
  • Sadie Perron has been appointed Acting Deputy Minister of New Brunswick Transportation and Infrastructure.
  • Massimo Bergamini will become the new Executive Director of the Canadian Institute of Planners effective May 11.
  • Steve Thompson has been named Executive Vice-President of Carillion Canada.
  • TAC is saddened by the passing of Albert M. Stevens in mid-February. Mr. Stevens was a valued member and contributor to the Roads and Transportation Association of Canada (now TAC) for many years. He was awarded a TAC Honourary Life Membership in 1986, when he was Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of New Brunswick. In 2008, he received the Award for Academic Merit under the Canadian Transportation Awards Program, and an Award of Service in 1999. A volunteer on numerous TAC committees, Mr. Stevens was also a regular TAC Foundation donor.
  • Steve van De Keere is the new Director of Transportation at the Region of Waterloo.
  • Patrick Natale, who served as Executive Director of the American Society of Civil Engineers for 12 years, has joined Hatch Mott MacDonald as Vice-President of Business Strategies.
  • Gord Firth of MMM Group Limited has been appointed Chair of Consulting Engineers of Ontario’s MTO Liaison Committee.
  • Sheila O’Brien, a corporate director and business consultant with more than 30 years of experience in the oil, gas and pipeline sectors, has been appointed to PPP (Public Private Partnerships) Canada’s Board of Directors.
  • Marie-Claude Dumas has been named Executive Vice-President of hydro in SNC-Lavalin’s Power Group.
