  • Peter Noehammer has been named Commissioner, Development and Infrastructure for the Town of Newmarket, in York Region, north of Toronto. His responsibilities will include Public Works, Engineering and Planning.
  • Effective August 1, 2014, Troy McLeod will become Director of Roads at the City of Calgary.
  • Robert G. Shirra has been named Managing Director for the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Society of Canada.
  • Harry Kim has joined AECOM as Region Senior Vice-President and Business Leader, Environment and will be based in the Burnaby, British Columbia office, while Joël Nolin will become the firm’s southern Alberta Regional Manager and District Market Sector Manager.
  • Morrison Hershfield has added Daniel Farrell to its team of public private partnerships (P3) and procurement experts. He will be working out of the Ottawa, Ontario office.
  • Montreal-based SNC-Lavalin Inc. has appointed Alexander Taylor to the role of President of the Power Group, which includes the company’s nuclear, hydro, transmission, distribution and thermal division. David Wilkins has been named Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Ingrid Stefanovic has been named Dean of the newly-formed Faculty of Environment at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver.
  • Darrell Desjardin has joined Hemmera EnviroChem Inc.’s Calgary team as Regional Vice-President, and will lead all aspects of the company’s Alberta operations.
