The Pavement Asset Design and Management Guide (2014) (PADMG) is now available for ordering via the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC)’s Bookstore.
Replacing the Pavement Asset Design Guide (1997), this new publication is a pratical consolidation of Canadian pavement design and management practices which can be applied across Canada.
Intended for public and private organizations and universities, the PADMG highlights Canadian state-of-the-practice pavement design and management techniques and technologies, and key industry-related issues such as sustainability and climate change, and principles of asset management.
The document should be used as a guide rather than a comprehensive design manual and each of its fifteen chapters provides numerous additional resources for further reference.
Priced at $299 for TAC members and $399 for others, it is available in both print and e-book formats. (Students may order at $199 with proper identification.)
TAC PADMG Seminars
To accompany the PADMG, TAC is hosting seminars at venues across Canada, starting January 27 in Vancouver, BC and ending April 14 in Ottawa, ON. Consult TAC’s website for locations and register early to avoid disappointment.
The seminar instructors are Dr. Susan Tighe, University of Waterloo, and Marta Juhasz, Alberta Transportation.
