Transportation Planning Engineer
$64,086.02 - $83,564.81 annually plus 5.5%% Recruitment and Retention

This is a temporary opportunity for 1 year which may become permanent.

The purpose of this position is to provide transportation planning expertise in the South Coast Region.  This includes, but is not limited to, leading transportation needs assessments to identify and justify future transportation improvements and strategies, developing highway systems plans and corridor plans, leading multidisciplinary project teams for planning studies and participating as a project team member through the design phase.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science/Engineering, preferably in Civil Engineering, with courses in Transportation Engineering field.
  • Registration or eligibility for immediate registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC.
  • A minimum of four years related experience working in transportation planning and/or engineering is preferred.  Years as an Engineer-In-Training count towards the four-year requirement. 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
