Duties

Reporting to the Director, Roads and Transportation, the Division Manager, Transportation Planning & Design supports the strategic objectives of the Division with responsibility for all matters related to transportation planning, design, construction and reconstructive maintenance of the City London’s transportation infrastructure, traffic operations, roadway safety, and transportation related development review.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering and Planning.
  • Registered Professional Engineer, Province of Ontario.
  • Minimum of eight to ten years of related experience.

Specialized Training and Licenses:

  • Thorough knowledge of all Federal, Provincial, and Municipal regulations and standards related to the design, development, and provision of roads and transportation services.
  • Focused analytical and strategic thinking and issue resolution skills, combined with a commitment to innovation and collaboration. 
  • Facilitation, negotiation, public relations, and presentation skills.
