Call for Conference Submissions

Updates regarding the online delivery of conference sessions will be communicated directly with technical session organizers and presenters.

Online sessions are organized into tracks that highlight the conference theme, The Journey to Safer Roads. Tracks include:

Asset Management Maintenance & Construction Small Municipalities Traffic Operations
Climate Change Mobility Management Soils & Materials Transportation Finance
Environment Pavements Structures Transportation Planning
Geometric Design Road Safety Technology Workforce Development
               

Deadlines & Important Information

STEP DATE
Abstracts due January 21
Notice of abstract acceptance/rejection sent to authors February 28
DUE DATE: Full papers | Draft presentations & posters May 4
Notice of acceptance/rejection/request for revisions sent to authors June 22
DUE DATE: Revised papers, presentations & posters (if required) July 20
Presentations due: Week 1 presenters (If you present week of Sept 21, submit your presentation and prepared questions) no later than September 11
Presentations due: Week 2 presenters (If you present week of Sept 28, submit your presentation and prepared questions) no later than September 18
Presentations due: Week 3 presenters (If you present week of Oct 5, submit your presentation and prepared questions) no later than September 25
2020 TAC Conference & Exhibition September 21 - October 8

Submissions must be made and FINAL Files for your TAC Conference session must be uploaded to

 TAC's online conference submission portal

NOTE:

  • When a submission is complete, an email confirmation is sent.
  • Submissions will be reviewed for quality, format, and relevance to the session track, and general interest.
  • Authors whose submissions are accepted are expected to present.
  • Authors not adhering to deadlines may be disqualified.
  • Authors must confirm that their employer and/or related clients are aware and approve of the submission.
  • Accepted papers and posters will be published on the ‘Conference Papers’ section of TAC’s website.

Here are some of the reasons why people present at the TAC Conference & Exhibition:

  • to share or gather information on best practices
  • to share details of the work they are doing – both successes and challenges  – and to receive feedback on it from others
  • to increase visibility for, or awareness of, a new approach
  • to meet others with similar or complementary interests
  • to share interesting research or methods of analysis
  • to position themselves as leaders or experts
