(1) Full registration fees for delegates include admission to all sessions, panel discussions, workshops, delegate tours and the exhibition. Also included are the conference proceedings on CD-ROM and the following special functions: Welcoming Reception, Awards Luncheon, Down East Lobster Ceilidh, Annual Luncheon, President’s Luncheon and Annual Banquet.
(2) Basic registration fees for delegates include admission to all sessions, panel discussions, workshops, delegate tours, the exhibition, as well as the Down East Lobster Ceilidh. Tickets for any other functions / events and the conference proceedings on CD-ROM may be purchased separately. (See below for individual prices.)
(3) The day registration rate is offered for the Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of the conference week. It entitles registrants to attend sessions, panel discussions and workshops, visit the exhibition and participate in delegate tours. The day rate does not provide registrants with any other benefits offered to delegates who pay the full or basic registration fees nor does it cover any of the functions / events and the CD-ROM proceedings. (See below for individual prices.)
(4) Two registration options are designed to encourage more (full-time) students to attend the conference. Option A is complimentary admission to all sessions, panel discussions and workshops, the exhibition and delegate tours. This offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Option A does not provide any other benefits offered to delegates who pay the full or basic registration fees nor does it cover any of the functions / events and the CD-ROM proceedings. (See below for individual prices.) Option B is a full registration as described in (1) above at a cost of $290.00.
To take advantage of either option A or B, registrants must indicate the name of the academic institution that they are attending and their student identification number on the registration form. They must also attach a photocopy of their student ID card to the form.
Student registrations cannot be submitted online (mail or fax only).
(5) Registration for the companion program covers the Halifax city tour (Sunday), Welcoming Reception, Down East Lobster Ceilidh and Annual Banquet. Also included: brunch and a Halifax harbour cruise (on Monday); a day trip to Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg and Mahone Bay (on Tuesday); a day trip to Grand Pre with lunch (on Wednesday); and alternative shopping trips to Halifax malls (on Tuesday and Wednesday). Activity selections will be requested prior to the conference on a first-come, first-served basis.
(6) Registration and other fees are subject to Nova Scotia’s Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) of 15%.
TAC office must receive registration forms, along with full payment, by August 13 in order for delegates to benefit from early registration fee rates.
