The Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) is featured in the March 2017 issue of Business View Magazine.

The digital article discusses how transportation plays a key role in Canada’s historical development and acts as an important economic enabler.  It summarizes how we come together to share ideas and information with our membership and key stakeholders.

The article also outlines how TAC impacts the evolution of the transportation network by quoting examples of our contribution including over 100 years of history in the transportation sector; developing best practices and encouraging harmonization across Canadian jurisdictions; and collaborative efforts with our membership in developing 250-plus publications.

Other featured transportation-related issues include Canada’s infrastructure deficit; securing long-term sustainable funding; alternative funding models; rapidly-changing technology; the impact of green-house gases on climate change; and the integration of land-use planning and transportation.

TAC’s Executive Director, Sarah Wells’ observations are quoted throughout in the article, demonstrating how TAC is helping organizations connect with other experts in the industry.

“Transportation is a sector that touches the lives of all Canadians and we are currently experiencing a period of evolution, even revolution. With our growing understanding of environmental and human health issues, and with advancing technological opportunities, transportation promises to be ever more important to our social and economic well-being. TAC members make a real difference in the sector; it is a great time to be involved in the Association.”

Business View Magazine covers the latest developments in manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, supply chain and logistics, health care, food and beverage, and energy.
