Special Road Safety Awards Created for TAC's Centennial

The Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) has created special road safety awards to celebrate progress in the field of road safety over the past 100 years in Canada.

Nominations, reflecting distinct avenues of contributions, are currently being sought for:

  • TAC Academic Research Centennial Road Safety Award
  • TAC Private Sector Centennial Road Safety Award
  • TAC Public Sector Centennial Road Safety Award
  • TAC Outstanding Career Centennial Road Safety Award

A representative of any TAC member may make a nomination by submitting a one-page nomination abstract by email to Sarah Wells by January 27, 2014. Abstracts will be reviewed by an Evaluation Panel selected by TAC’s Road Safety Standing Committee. Authors of accepted abstracts will be contacted by February 18 and invited to send full submissions to TAC prior to 15:00 EST on March 18.

Final results will be communicated to nominees at the end of June 2014. Awards will be presented during the 2014 TAC Conference and Exhibition in Montreal, September 28-October 1st.
