This periodic column features notices from people working in the transportation and road-related industries.

  • Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service in March. Jean-François Tremblay has been appointed Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Michael Keenan has become Deputy Minister of Transport. 
  • Evelyne Desrochers has been appointed Executive Director of Bitume Québec, and Frédérick Noël has been named Technical Director.
  • At Parsons, Amardeep Grewal has been named Vice President of Project Development, and will identify investment opportunities, strategic partnering, and bid management. Ansar Ahmed has also joined the company as Business Development Manager for Eastern Canada. 
  • Bryan Nicol is now Strategic Program/Project Developer for CH2M, where he will identify and advance major aviation, bridge, highway, port, and transit programs and projects across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
  • Fred Cummings has been appointed Senior Vice President, Regional Manager, West North America, Hatch Infrastructure.
  • Effective April 29, Andy Legere will be replacing Dale Forster as Executive Director, Engineering Services, New Brunswick Transportation and Infrastructure.
  • Effective May 13, Michel Masse will officially retire from le Ministère des Transports, de la Mobilité durable et de l’Électrification des Transports after nearly 30 years of service in all aspects of roadway signage. Michel brought his expertise to numerous funded and volunteer TAC projets on the Traffic Operations and Management Standing Committee.
