  • Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal cabinet included the Honourable Marc Garneau as Minister of Transport, the first Canadian astronaut to fly in space and former head of the Canadian Space Agency, and the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi as Minister of Infrastructure and Communities.
  • Angus Robertson has succeeded Mike Johnson as Deputy Minister of Yukon Highways and Public Works.
  • Sherri Rowe has replaced Pauloosie Suvega as Deputy Minister of Nunavut Economic Development and Transportation.  
  • Gary Gosse has retired as Assistant Deputy Minister of Newfoundland and Labrador Transportation and Works; Maxwell Harvey will be Acting ADM until the position is filled.  
  • Carol MacQuarrie has accepted the position of Director of Professional Affairs with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick.
  • SNC-Lavalin has appointed Hartland J.-A. Paterson as Executive Vice-President and General Counsel and Marc Rivard as Executive Vice-President of Infrastructure Engineering, both based out of Montreal.
  • Arup has appointed Brian Swett as Director of Cities and Sustainable Real Estate, to deepen the firm’s engagement with mayors, city governments, developers and infrastructure owners.
  • Based out of Hemmera’s Calgary office, Trevor Rhodes will lead all aspects of the firm’s Alberta operations.
  • Bryce Hunter has joined Stantec Consulting Ltd. as Regional Leader for the Saskatchewan office, and will manage project delivery, financial performance, and community engagement.   
  • Golder Associates Ltd. has named Don Gamble as Principal of its Canadian power sector, based out of the Vancouver office.
