This webinar is intended to introduce participants to the contents of TAC’s Guidelines for the Coordination of Utility Relocations (2016) and processes for the coordination of utility relocations. The focus will be on understanding the processes and the important role of utility coordinators in infrastructure projects. Information provided in the guidelines is intended to advance the overall coordination of utility relocations across the country and promote its awareness and use throughout Canada.

A graduate from Queen’s University in Kingston, Lawrence is Co-Chair of TAC’s Public Utilities Management Subcommittee. He is also an active member of the CSA S250-11 Committee to establish the Canadian Utility Mapping Standard, and member of the American Society of Civil Engineers committee to re-write the ASCE 38-02 Standard.

A graduate from the Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, Steve has worked in the Civil Engineering industry for over 30 years. In his current role at the Regional Municipality of York, he is responsible for utility coordination and Right-of-Way management. Steve is a past member of the Ontario Regional Common Ground Alliance Best Practices Committee and an active member of the CSA Z247 – Damage Prevention for the Protection of Underground Infrastructure Technical Committee. He is current Co-Chair of TAC’s Public Utility Management Subcommittee, as well as the newly-formed Ontario Public Works Association Right-Of-Way Management Committee.
