The Transportation Association of Canada (TAC)’s councils, standing committees and project committees will convene at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel for the 2016 Spring Technical Meetings.
Held from April 6-12, the meetings offer excellent technical information exchange and valuable networking opportunities. Meetings are open to all TAC members unless otherwise indicated in the program. Participants should check the program before arriving as a few meetings will be held in locations other than the Marriott. TAC’s Board of Directors will meet on Monday, April 11.
Participants are encouraged to attend two key events:
1) Friday, April 8, 11:30-13:30: A joint luncheon hosted by TAC and the National Capital Section of the Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers (CITE). The registration fee is $30 for CITE members and $35 for non-members. Interested participants will be able to register online (available soon) or by visiting the TAC Office onsite on Thursday, April 7 until 6:00 p.m.
2) Saturday, April 9, 18:00-21:00: A member networking reception will include brief remarks by TAC’s President, Gerry Chaput.
Confirm your Attendance
Although no registration fees apply to attend the meetings, TAC council and committee members must confirm their attendance by completing a brief form online by March 31.
TAC attendee rates are available at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel for those booking by March 4, as well as discounted air fares with Air Canada, Porter or West Jet. The block of rooms may be filled before the deadline, in which case available rooms will be charged at the hotel’s discretion. Discounted ground fares are also available with VIA Rail and Avis.
