Senior Aggregate Resource Specialist
Salary $60,531.87 - $69,104.56 annually

The Aggregate Resource Management group is responsible for organizing, leading, and managing teams comprised of professional, technical, administrative and contracted resources to supply aggregate materials to facilitate the delivery of Regional Capital, Rehabilitation, District and Partnerships Projects as well as Provincial Road and Bridge Maintenance Contracts.  The Aggregate Management Program ensures that an adequate quantity and quality of aggregate resources are available to meet the Ministry of Transportation’s current and future needs, in the right locations and timeframes, considering societal costs. This group also acts as the resource in the furtherance of Aggregate Resource Management expertise throughout the Province.

As a Senior Aggregate Resource Specialist, you provide senior technical support to the Aggregate Resource Management Program.  This is a pivotal role, responsible for the development and implementation of quality control standards, which includes establishing and monitoring performance indicators.  In addition, this role also consults, oversees, monitors and reports out on contracted resources for engineering projects to ensure performance deliverables and corporate standards are met.

Qualifications

Qualifications for this role include:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, sciences or related field and one year related experience, or a technical diploma and three years related experience.


Related Experience Includes:

  • Technical experience in work associated with civil, geotechnical or geological engineering, preferably related to highway construction, rehabilitation and project management, managing road design, and construction or repair projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience compiling, analysing and summarizing technical data, preparing plans, and writing technical reports and communications.
