Built in 1834 as the official residence for PEI’s Lieutenant Governors, Fanningbank Government House offers a commanding view of the Charlottetown Harbour, spacious lawns, tree-lined walks, and formal gardens. Its heritage value lies in its well-preserved exterior and interior elements. This residence represents several important eras in the Island's political development, including colonial administration, the achievement of responsible government and the Confederation era.

This architecturally striking complex features eclectic Canadian crafts, such as woodworking, jewelry, textiles, stained and blown glass, and much more.
