2014 TAC Foundation Scholarships

Thursday, August 21, 2014

The 2014 Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) Foundation will award 41 scholarships to undergraduates (university and college) and graduates in transportation-related disciplines totaling $185,500.

This brings the running tally of the Foundation’s scholarship program to 364 scholarships valued at more than $1,490,500 since 2005.

The Foundation‘s Scholarship Committee, chaired by Dr. Eric Hildebrand of the University of New Brunswick, selected the recipients following a detailed evaluation of scholarship applications.  The 41 recipients, plus a number of other high-ranking applicants, will also benefit from the Employment Connections component of the program for the first time ever.  Later this fall, information about their future employment interests and career ambitions will be shared with the TAC Foundation’s major donors.  Connecting transportation and roadways sector employers with the best and brightest young professionals entering the field brings increased relevance to participating in the TAC Foundation’s Scholarship Program for both donors and applicants.

Congratulations to this year’s recipients and the TAC Foundation’s committed donors for their tremendous support of the Foundation’s vision of Educating Tomorrow’s Transportation Leaders
